This bronze railing was created to have a clean design where the mounting bolts would not penetrate through the railing itself. The homeowner wanted to use their own mounting hardware so I needed to design and machine a set of adapters that would allow the mounts to sit vertically in relation to the railing, would allow sturdy mounting from below into the railing and mount to the existing hardware itself. The resulting railing has a very clean design with no holes showing in either the railing or in the adapters. Sometimes, as in this case, creating a clean simple design can be quite complicated.
