Creating functional art for luxury living

This incredibly beautifully figured Claro Walnut table was sourced in California and brought to the West coast of British Columbia to a master craftsman to sand, fill and finish the slab. As you can see, Steve Willgoose really did an incredible job on the table top. After the tabletop was completed it was transported back to Calgary and I built these custom legs. The legs reflect the trunk and the roots of a tree but with a modern twist. Due to the size difference between the slab ends the legs on the larger side had to be considerably wider than the ones on the narrower side but still needed to look like a proper set and that they belonged together.
